Gay Pride and Ukraine flags no longer flying at Metro headquarters
Last June Fastzone reported that Mayor Greenberg committed to flying the Gay Pride flag year round. Flags are in the news; traditional flags—local, state and USA— are the new official symbols for Louisville’s Metro government. Thank you, Mayor Greenberg!

Is Louisville on the map?
A Presbyterian ‘Redeemed Zoomer’ has sparked a broad revival across the seven American mainline denominations. Each now has its own ’95 theses’. Operation Reconquista states: “We are fighting to restore our churches to the true faith and revive them, because we do not want the great institutions built for God's glory to be used against His Kingdom.” The zoomer (Gen Z), Richard Ackerman, has 557K+ subscribers to his YouTube channel.
Louisville is the headquarters for the mainline Presbyterian Church (PCUSA). It is not on the map but other KY cities are.
Louisville won’t help ICE but Metro will?
Can it reasonably be reported that, though Louisville Metro is not assisting ICE agents, Metro Louisville is? Read more on Fastzone.com in TRENDING.
NOT hearsay:
Louisvillians are not permitted to inquire about the citizen status of fellow residents.
JCPS has some 97,000 students of whom 20% cannot speak English and many who speak some English are undocumented.
The Courier-Journal reported in March that Louisville has seen a net gain of about 6,200 foreign-born residents since 2020. Is that accurate?
Louisville’s Office for Immigrant Affairs says our immigrant population is 6% of Louisville's total population. But is it? Compare its numbers with these:
In 2020 Louisville was one of only 12 cities that received ‘tailored research to inform culturally sensitive emergency response measures that ensure all residents are included, regardless of immigration status’ —for access to COVID-19 services and support.
A ‘sanctuary city’ restricts sharing information with federal immigration law officers and prevents local police from detaining individuals based solely on their immigration status. Any dangers, issues?
What are the real numbers? Why can’t we know? How can Louisville’s planning and zoning NOT have a hidden agenda?
One-third of Kentuckians receive Medicaid
A Louisville Forum debate on Medicaid was presented May 14 to help us size it up. Emily Beauregard, Executive Director at Kentucky Voices for Health, wants everyone to endorse the need for Medicaid, no holds barred. Bluegrass Institute President Jim Waters countered her reasoning. Watch the debate on YouTube. Deborah Yetter (left) was moderator.
The KY General Assembly passed an emergency law last month, to prevent able-bodied people from continuing on Medicaid. President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill addresses Medicaid. The White House web page states the BBB ‘eliminates waste, fraud, and abuse by ending benefits for at least 1.4 million illegal immigrants who are gaming the system.’
O Say, Did You See?
The first 100 days of the new administration was celebrated at the KY Capitol on May 10. A KET videographer recorded nearly each speech, but no videos are on the KET website. If anyone knows of any news coverage, please leave a comment with a link. (Must view in browser.)
The event was super with national and local speakers. Three J6ers gave first-hand accounts of their prison mistreatment and injustices. The event was sponsored by Constitutional Kentucky, Kentuckians for Freedom, and the Cuban American Conservative Coalition.
