The featured image shows the Gay Pride flag returned to its pole on the east side of Louisville’s Metro Hall. It was briefly removed during Light Up Louisville, as was the Ukrainan flag, now back on its pole on the west side.
Numerous people have asked, what happened to the plan to ask the City to fly many different flags? After all, it is not fair to fly the Gay Pride flag 365 days/year (or fewer- to accommodate Light Up Louisville).
I asked my councilman, Ben Reno-Weber, to address this. He told me that these decisions are made by the Mayor’s Office, and gave me a person to contact who did not respond to my inquiry.
So, let’s roll back this travesty of equity in 2025. We want more than one favored flag displayed in front of our Metro Hall year round, or simply the city flag. We also want to understand why the Ukrainian flag is continuously flown. Why not the American flag?
Good Call, FOP
Thank you, River City Fraternal Order of Police, for the eleventh-hour challenge to the Consent Decree.

With the help of President Trump and his DOJ ‘pick’, good things could come. Let’s roll back the Consent Decree!
What is the population of Louisville? Why?
In early 2025 Fastzone plans to explain the many and varying population statistics cited for Louisville. Perhaps some clarity will help to roll back certain developments.
New Trial for Brett?
The ‘Hankison Justice’ blog series will continue in 2025. Briefs were filed on December 27 by the Defense, again asking Judge Jennings to grant a new trial because the prosecutors deprived Brett of due process. Stay tuned. Let’s hope the false narrative that has steamrolled the Truth can be rolled back.
Without a strong police force, what will Louisville’s ‘crime overview’ look like in 2025? About a month ago, Chief Humphrey reported that homicides were up 1.5%— 136 in 2024 over 133 in 2023. As of this writing, homicide statistics are 142, so, up about 7% (and 1.5% was lowballing it, right?).
Affordable Housing?
The Affordable Housing ‘pop-page’ on Fastzone is linked to the Affordable Housing Rhetoric slide in the carousel on Fastzone’s Welcome page, top left. Can the drumbeat for such expenditure be rolled back?
Conservative news and opinions will continue on Fastzone in the new year. Please share this post, and leave a comment. What stories would you like to see on Fastzone in 2025?
