Critical Race— and We Aren’t Talking Derby
Fast approaching the May 16 finish line - Third post in the RINO series
Yes, it’s Derby Week, but the Kentucky Derby is NOT more important than the 2023 Kentucky Primary. And the Unconstitutional Early Voting begins in six days. Please share these posts.
In case you are out-of-pocket you will receive a reminder post about this important RINO blog series on Monday.
The three candidates running for Treasurer (and their campaign websites) are Andrew Cooperrider, Mark Metcalf and O.J. Oleka. Learn more on each website.
They recently debated on KET and segments of this program are on YouTube. A caller to the program asked for each to say whether he supported President Trump. The KET Kentucky Edition anchor Renee Shaw added a question: Do you believe that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election fair and square?
Take a moment to watch and listen.
Cooperrider’s response to Shaw’s question was blistering to Democrats and painfully true. Metcalf responded in a lawyerly way. Oleka simply said, “President Biden was duly elected.” He also stated that he supports President Trump. This was interesting since he has expressed his dislike for Trump.
Each candidate’s background is featured in this KET segment:
It can be very difficult to spot the RINO in the picture. Oleka was president of the Young Republicans in 2014; he is outspoken about his faith in Jesus Christ in current videos on the web. He provides conservative answers to questions in the voter guides, but on the internet we find him on the anti-racism, equity bandwagon.
He frequently says he is grateful to be living the American Dream but his experience is in government, academia and nonprofit organizations. Those who have lived or are living the Dream, plus the Soros types, pay the way of those who are not producers.
The American Dream is lived by people willing to take risks, build a business from nothing, and become a strong influence in society to help fight against big government, abuse of free enterprise, and ‘wokeism.’
The Role of the Treasurer
As we did in the previous post about State Auditor, let’s look at the duties of the state treasurer. The traditional duties are:
Make record of all monies due and payable to the state
Over the years the job has changed, reflecting the growth of the Commonwealth and technological advances. But to use the office for new social programs rather than financial management needs and goals is mission creep as was explained in the previous post.
Which candidate is most likely to expand the list of new government programs?
Socialism leads to communism which has never been voted out
On many current web pages Oleka expresses his desire to rout out institutional racism. This Black Lives Matter emphasis is a socialist plan to further defame America and stir up division and hatred. He espouses the CRT curriculum which is an effective tool for this goal. I do not think Oleka wants to stir up hatred, but his work will achieve that.
It is CRITICAL for Conservatives to understand that CRT is child abuse. This is a point repeatedly expressed by Dr. Ben Carson, a black American.
Fastzone recommends Andrew Cooperrider based on his hard work to help Kentucky in the midst of the Covid19 crisis. See his 2022 Wasteful Spending Report. Read about his fight against Beshear’s orders to close his business.
