The role of the church in sharing COVID truth
Quoting Scripture seems to work, whether for or against the Covid-19 injections
FIFTH & FINAL IN THE COVID TRUTH SERIES
The U.S. House of Representatives elected a new Speaker last week, but not before Rep. McCarthy agreed to enforce certain goals. One was to end COVID mandates and all funding for them, including “emergency funding.”
What great news! But then, on Wednesday of this week, Xavier Becerra, Secretary of Health and Human Services, renewed the “Determination that a public health emergency exists.”
As we wait for the House majority to reverse the Determination, tax dollars are wildly being spent to advertise the critical need for vaccinations and boosting. How can we help friends and others wake up and avoid the harm?
The preceding posts in this series provide compelling truth that the Covid-19 shots cause death and injury. Whose job is it to warn the unsuspecting?
Which institution is most responsible to promote truth and to help save lives? In our current circumstance, many would say, the church. And many would say, the pulpit is only for preaching the gospel.
If the church will not share COVID truth, others will take on the mantle.
Here is a sound bite from New York Governor Kathy Hochul:
Transcript of audio: (Audio from YouTube video)
Vaccine— That is from God to us and we must say, Thank you God, thank you. And I wear my vaccinated necklace all the time to say I’m vaccinated.
All of you, yes, I know you’re vaccinated, you’re the smart ones, but you know there’s people out there who aren’t listening to God and what God wants. You know this, you know who they are.
I need you to be my apostles.
Facebook was glad to share their bully pulpit with Franklin Graham. (Spring 2021)
Franklin Graham, son of pioneering televangelist Billy Graham, told his Facebook followers this week that Jesus Christ would advocate vaccination, basing his interpretation on the biblical parable of the Good Samaritan.
Fox News featured the popular Pastor Robert Jeffress, whose church has 14,000 members. (Summer 2021)
These media interviews were conducted after a great deal of information was published online about the dangers of the injections, but most of us were uncertain how to think about the pandemic in 2021. Our government and the media pushed hard to convince us we could die unless we were vaccinated.
Have Graham and Jeffress changed their minds? I have not read that. Hochul has not.
In the first post of this series I promised to provide a script for pastors to use for outreach to vaccinated people. Brother Altman has given us a good example in the form of a church bulletin.
Some protestant pastors have warned their members, too. Please see previous posts for current information on Covid-19 vaccines. They are still experimental.
Churches may be fearful about legal suits or losing members. Some individuals may fear losing friends or their job. But — God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7)

John Quincy Adams once said, "Duty is ours, results are God's." Get involved in your community, encourage people to vote, and speak the truth against falsehoods.
If you believe in a Creator who endows us with certain inalienable rights, including freedom of speech, now is the time to be heard. We are called for a time such as this.
Thank you! I’m joining a small group at SE La Grange focusing on this very topic.
Being a significant pillar of the community, the church 😮 is obligated to preach His Word whether doing so supports or denies the laws of our land, The Constitution, immoral behavior such as LGBTQ+++, politics, etc, etc.
The problem is 99.9% preachers do not have the guts to preach "socially conflicting" scripture.
