KY Western District US Attorney Kyle Bumgarner addresses Louisville and the media with positive news
The focus of the Department of Justice and FBI under Trump’s first administration and the Biden years was to take down Trump and prosecute civil rights cases— often with destructive consequences for law-abiding Americans.
Trump’s second term brings a strong promise of law and order, frankly despised and mistrusted by some, but greatly appreciated by most. In a video posted by WLKY-TV, we get an encouraging picture of how federal agents and attorneys are helping the River City, partnering with the LMPD to capture criminals and eradicate transnational drug operations and gang violence.

Attorney Bumgarner was appointed by AG Pam Bondi on June 2, 2025. He expressed gratitude and determination to do the job:
“I would like to thank President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for entrusting me with this great responsibility, particularly at such an important time for our Nation. Through the talented prosecutors in this Office, we stand committed to fighting the drug epidemic and violence that has ravaged our communities, combating the fraud that has been perpetrated against our institutions, and protecting vulnerable victims that are preyed upon by ruthless criminals. Our goals cannot be achieved without selfless and heroic work from our federal, state, and local law enforcement officers — particularly those on the front lines — who will receive unwavering support from our Office. I accept this role with great enthusiasm and a commitment to making the Western District of Kentucky a safer place for each of us to raise our families and earn a living.”
One Louisville citizen who has felt this support was living across the street from the busted ‘drug house.’ Her years of nightmarish experiences culminated June 30th when a midnight party exploded in 50 rounds of gunshots in a gang war. Her husband’s vehicle and a neighbor’s were damaged and her home was grazed by a bullet. This incident has been reported in many media and she has been interviewed.
You may have also seen her in a video of the Metro Council budget hearing where she asked for the $750K earmarked for the Consent Decree independent monitor to be used instead to hire officers. This video was linked in the previous Fastzone on Substack post.
She also tried to find help at the June 29 Consent Decree Community Listening Session from mayoral assistant, Attorney Megan Metcalf (left), but that forum was focused on hiring the independent monitor.
Her requests for help could have been answered in a more timely way, but it was stated by Major Daniel Lewis in news coverage that LMPD did not have the numbers to take down the operation sooner.

Flag Day demonstrations - ICE only pursues criminals about whom they have a LOT of intel. They are looking to arrest murderers, rapists, and other felons, to protect U.S. citizens and others from these criminals. Nevertheless, in the unbelievable naivety of protestors and rioters across the nation, the cry goes up to hate and get rid of ICE. Is this really ignorance or is it insurrection?
Never consent to a consent decree - Transcript and video of Dr. Travis Yates with Liz Collins, Minneapolis Alpha News, detailing the fraud in federal investigations and consent decrees. Does the LMPD need a CD? Or just ‘best practices’?
Jefferson Co. Courts are ruled by females - Of 39 judges, only six are men. Why?
